Efflorescence is the formation of salt deposits on or near the surface of the tile or concrete. It can also be described as the white powder or crusty deposit which appears on the surface of the joint or the edge of the tile. Tile Cleaners® have a variety of equipment for effective efflorescence removal. We also carry all the required treatments; agitation tools as well as chemical solutions to safely and effectively remove efflorescence deposits internally and externally.

Efflorescence removal is not a DIY job unless it is in its very early light stages, in which cases it can sometimes be removed with a stiff brush and a heavy duty efflorescence remover. In later and more advanced stages speciality equipment and solutions will be required.

  7. Pre seal the empty joints
  8. Install new grout
  9. Allow new grout to dry
  10. Seal all grout lines with a suitable quality sealer
